NormaTec Recovery System
what is normatec?
NormaTec is the developer and manufacturer of the NormaTec Recovery System. This technology was created by a physician bioengineer (MD, PhD) to enhance blood flow and speed recovery. The recovery system is utilized for rapid recovery after intense work outs or physical exertion and rehab making NormaTec leader in muscle recovery.
The NormaTec Recovery System uses a control unit and attachments that go on the legs, arms, or hips. Compressed air is used to massage your limbs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery with the patented NormaTec Pulse Massage Pattern. When you use the systems, you will first experience a pre-inflate cycle, during which the connected attachments are molded to your exact body shape. The session will then begin by compressing your feet, hands, or upper quad (depending on which attachment you are using). Like the kneading and stroking done during a massage, each segment of the attachment will first compress in a pulsing manner and then release. This will repeat for each segment of the attachment as the compression pattern works its way up your limb.

What to Expect
Prior to using the NormaTec Recovery System we will do an assessment and review of your health history to check for any contraindications. This will determine the amount of time for each session and the frequency of sessions to be recommended. Sessions range from 15 minutes to an hour. You are fully clothed during your sessions, so you will want to wear comfortable, loose clothing.
